About Stephanie Bakirtzis Christodoulou

Stephanie Bakirtzis Christodoulou has more than two decades of experience in marketing and communications with a special emphasis in the higher education, fundraising and development space.

Stephanie started her career working at New York University, the country’s largest private university, under the mentorship of Naomi B. Levine, NYU’s former Senior Vice President and chief fundraiser of 25 years, in charge of transforming NYU into the global and prestigious university it is today. While earning her master’s degree from the University, Stephanie entered the marketing and communications world and worked for NYU’s Advertising and Publications division, delivering results for the University’s vast college and global system.

Combining her knowledge and experience in fundraising and marketing, she was hired by St. John’s University, the second largest Catholic university in the country, and performed multiple roles in the Advancement and University Relations, University Marketing and Communications, and Enrollment Marketing divisions throughout her tenure there. She delivered results for the Enrollment Marketing team, helping break numerous University records: most ever applications submitted and highest enrolled freshman class. During her time as Director of Advancement Marketing, Stephanie created and met strategic goals by developing integrated marketing strategies and solutions through communications to the University’s vast 193,000 alumni base, and was a driving force behind smashing University records: highest grossing President’s Dinner Gala, and most funds raised in the University’s 150-year history.

Stephanie graduated from New York University with a Bachelor of Science in Communications Studies and a Master of Arts in Graphic Communications Management and Technology.
